The technical committee is made up of a diverse group of members from government, academic, and commercial space domain. We are highly motivated to improve space operations across the community.
Steering Committee is chartered to oversee the general operation of the SOSTC. It is responsible for organization, strategic direction, and implementation planning of SOSTC activities. The Steering Committee normally meets via teleconference or immediately before or after each regular committee meeting depending on committee preference. Committee meeting activities include updating an overall SOSTC activities schedule and planning regular meeting arrangements. The SOSTC Steering Committee positions include.
Chair - Responsible for organizing, scheduling, and presiding over Steering Committee meetings.
Vice Chair - Presents the SOSTC activities schedule at each regular meeting and reports on membership status.
Secretary - Responsible for preparation and distribution of Steering Committee meeting minutes.
Treasurer – Reports on the finances of the SOSTC.
SpaceOps Liaison Officer – Responsible for briefing the Steering Committee on latest results from Space Ops Organization meetings and correspondence.
Subcommittee Chairs - Responsible for proposing subcommittee activities to the Steering Committee, usually at the first meeting or telecon of each annual cycle. Subcommittee activities are reviewed, updated, and approved by the membership at the second meeting or telecon.
